"I grew up on a 60 cow family dairy farm. We sold the cows when I was a junior in high school and began to raise holstein steers. Currently I am planning to go back and restart the dairy with 40 cows. On campus I am also involved in Gopher Dairy Club. I work at the USDA Cereal Disease Lab which is a lot of fun and something different to do in my spare time. I am enjoying my time away from home and have made many great memories while being a part of DTS."

"I grew up in Ulen, MN, which is a small town of 500 people near Fargo-Moorhead in Northwest Minnesota. As a child I worked for my grandpa at his dairy farm then in high school I worked for another local dairy farmer. Although my chosen major may not reflect it, I have been very involved in agriculture ever since I was a child. Some high school activities I was involved in were FFA, knowledge bowl, student council, and senior high band. I was very active in FFA especially in the Dairy Production Placement Proficiency and the Farm Business Management Contest. At the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities I am currently involved in Investment and Finance Organization (InFO), Student Accounting and Finance Association, and most important of all Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity. I also keep myself busy with a roofing company I recently started (Integrity Roofing, Inc.). Some of my other interests include: hunting, fishing, water skiing, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, and many other outdoor activities."
